Board Members

Board members have a daunting fiduciary responsibility to the homeowners in their associations. Whether they serve condominium, cooperative, or homeowners associations, they need information that enables them to make the best decisions for their communities. A network of committed professional managers and service providers, along with other like-minded leaders, will provide the knowledge base to equip board members to better guide their associations. There is no charge for community leaders to join FCAP.

 

CFCAL - Certified Forida Community Association Leaders. Board members/leaders who have taken a state-approved training class for board members are qualified to receive the designation CFCAL.

2. LEARN

CFCAL members must satisfactorily complete an educational curriculum approved by FCAP. (FCAP Associate Memberships are available for leaders who have not completed an FCAP - Approved Educational Program.)

  4. Make available to community leaders service providers that have been vetted through background checks and have agreed upon ethical standards
  5. Offer a network of professional community association managers that have a thorough understanding of their jobs and the industry
  6. Provide opportunities for community leaders to interface with other community leaders to synergistically solve problems
  7. Share strategies for problem solving through FCAP’s monthly email training updates, director-to-director roundtables, and Community Leader Summits (CLS)
  8. Monitor and report important legal issues that affect communitiess
